Video files: minutes, not days
When you upload a video (or paste a URL, which we fetch server-side), the file is stored temporarily in Cloudflare R2 and exposed through a random, unguessable retrieval URL so the official verification service can read it. Objects are marked to expire 20 minutes after upload. Deletion is enforced three ways: your browser requests deletion when the check finishes, expired objects are removed on access, and a scheduled cleanup sweeps anything left behind. We never reuse your video for anything else.
Verification providers
The temporary URL is submitted to the official ModelArk artifact verification API at both Volcengine (cn-beijing) and BytePlus (ap-southeast-1). Per their official documentation, files fetched for verification are used only for that query, deleted on their side within 24 hours, and not used for model training. Their processing is additionally governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
What we keep after a check
We keep a SHA-256 fingerprint of the file (a hash, from which the video cannot be reconstructed), the verification outcome (detected / not detected / undetermined, plus the model name when returned), and the optional platform tag you choose to submit. Hashes let repeat checks of the same file return instantly without re-processing, and platform tags feed aggregated statistics. None of this includes the video content itself.
Identifiers and rate limiting
To keep the free service available we enforce daily limits using a random client ID stored in your browser's localStorage (you can clear it at any time) and a one-way hash of your IP address. When human verification is enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile processes connection data to distinguish people from bots. We run no advertising trackers and set no analytics cookies.
Your responsibility
Upload only videos you are authorized to process. Do not upload sensitive, illegal or private material without permission. Results are automated analysis for reference only.
